    Multiple days are being offered in case of weather issues. We will attempt to consolidate participants into one date.

    When most people think of glowing ocean creatures they think it only happens in warm waters like Puerto Rico and Florida. But at the end of a nice sunny summer (Aug/Sept) we also can get some epic bioluminescence too! Created as a defense by microscopic zooplankton and comb jellies if you have never seen this phenomenon it can be a life changing experience! We only offer this tour on dark moonless nights Aug/Sept. Learn more about these creatures with our knowledgeable guides. We provide headlamps, and boat lights to keep you safe.

    We are offering this magical tour several days assuming 1 or 2 will be canceled due to clouds. Our goal is too consolidate the days into 1 or 2 tours if possible.

  • Marsh Kayaking

    Citizen Science Horseshoe Crab Tagging Tour

    June 9th 10am-2pm

    We are excited to be partnering with Seaside Sustainability, USFWS, and Acrobiosystems to capture and tag Horseshoe crabs in the Essex River Basin. Our professional naturalist, and Marine Scientist Clay Kern will be leading the kayak/crab wrangling team to capture as many crabs as possible which then will be tagged, measured, and released. These ancient creatures population has been crashing in recent years, help be a part in understanding and studying them!

    Come see the quintessential Motif #1 from an entirely new perspective that few people get to see. Hear true stories of how Rockport's militia, the Sea Fencibles and local towns people fought off the British and other stories that make our town so special. We'd love to snap a picture to commemorate your kayaking experience with Motif #1!

    Feel the flames, and be reminded of the fire, flames, and torture our forefathers/mothers went through to found our nation! Join us to observe a timeless unique Rockport Tradition from the water!
